Everyday Handling
Handle Paithani sarees with clean, dry hands. Avoid heavy perfume or direct spray on the fabric.
- Wear the saree after makeup and perfume application.
- Avoid sharp jewellery that can snag the weave or zari.
Cleaning
We recommend dry cleaning only for Paithani sarees and accessories to protect the silk and zari.
- Do not machine wash or soak.
- Use a trusted dry cleaner experienced with silk.
Stain Care
For light stains, gently blot with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub.
- Act quickly to prevent setting.
- Consult a dry cleaner for anything beyond light surface marks.
Storage
Store your Paithani in a breathable cotton or muslin cloth, away from direct sunlight.
- Avoid plastic covers for long-term storage.
- Refold the saree every few months to prevent crease stress.
Ironing and Steaming
Use low heat with a protective cotton layer. Avoid direct heat on zari.
- Iron on the reverse side when possible.
- Steam lightly from a distance if needed.
Travel Tips
Roll the saree in soft tissue or muslin to reduce creasing during travel.
- Keep it in a cool, dry bag.
- Avoid heavy pressure on the folds.
